Amazon digital orders are digital purchases made on Amazon.com. These include ebooks, movies, and other digital content and products that have no physical form.
In this guide, I will explain all you need to know about digital orders on Amazon, including what counts as a digital order, where to find your digital orders, and more.
What Counts as an Amazon Digital Order?
An Amazon Digital Order is a product that is completely digital. In other words, it can’t be shipped to you and has no physical shape or form. It refers to intangible products that only exist in digital format. These include audiobooks, ebooks, software, games, videos, etc.
More specifically, the following products are considered Digital Orders:
- MP3s
- Kindle books
- App downloads
- Video downloads
- Software or game downloads
- Kindle Special Offers Opt-out Fees
These include recurring subscriptions for digital content, such as Kindle Unlimited and Prime Video channel subscriptions for which you are charged every month.
Where to Find Your Amazon Digital Orders in Your Account

To view your Digital Orders in your Amazon purchase history, go to amazon.com/your-orders/orders in your web browser. Make sure you are logged in to view your orders. Then, select the time period for which you want to see your orders.
You can also navigate to Your Account > Orders > Digital Orders. In the mobile app, click on the hamburger menu in the bottom left and then on Orders. Click on Filter and select Digital Orders and a time period. Finally, click on Apply to display all Digital Orders for that time period.
What Is an Amazon Digital Charge on Your Bank Statement?
Did you know that Amazon charges can appear differently on your bank statement, depending on what you purchased?
For Digital Orders, you will typically see either “Amazon Digital Svcs amzn.com/bill” or “Video on Demand” on your bank statement. “Video on Demand” may appear when you purchase a digital video.
For standard Amazon orders that are not digital, you will typically see one of the following:
- Amazon.com
- AMZN.COM/BILL
- Amazon Bookstore
- POS Amazon
- Amazon Merchandise
- AMAZON MKTPLACE PMTS
- AMZN Mktp US *A1B2C3D4E
Remember, Digital Orders can sometimes be recurring, as I explained earlier. Therefore, if you see an unknown charge from Amazon, think of any recurring subscriptions you may have signed up for or check your Digital Orders history.
Amazon Prime vs. Amazon Digital Orders: What Is the Difference?

Amazon Prime and Amazon Digital Orders are two different things.
Digital Orders are orders for digital products, such as ebooks, videos, or MP3 files. Sometimes, they are recurring (such as channel subscriptions on Amazon Video). However, they are usually one-time purchases.
Amazon Prime is a recurring membership that offers benefits such as free two-day shipping and discounts on certain products. It also includes access to thousands of videos and movies on Amazon Prime Video as well as Thursday Night Football and Amazon Music Prime, with over 100 million songs.
Amazon Prime charges usually show up on your bank statement as “AMZ*Prime Shipping Club amzn.com/bill” or AMAZON PRIME*A1B2C3D4Eamzn.com/bill.”
How to Cancel or Manage Amazon Digital Orders and Subscriptions

To cancel Amazon digital orders, go to the Digital Orders history, as explained earlier in this article. There, you will be able to see details about each order and cancel them, if possible.
If you want to cancel an active subscription, go to amazon.com/yourmembershipsandsubscriptions. You can also navigate to Your Account > Memberships and Subscriptions.
In the mobile app, click on the hamburger menu in the bottom-right corner. Under “Hello, [Name],” click on Account. Scroll down and click on “Memberships and Subscriptions.” Click on Filters if you want to filter for past subscriptions that are no longer active.
Once you see your subscription, select Manage Subscription. To cancel it, click on Cancel Subscription (under Advanced Controls).
To cancel your Amazon Prime subscription, go to Your Account > Manage Prime Membership.
Can You Return or Get a Refund for Amazon Digital Orders?
You can sometimes get a refund for digital orders. For example, if you purchased an Amazon Prime Video by mistake, you can get a refund within 14 days, but only if you did not start watching it and did not download it. If you started watching it, you can no longer get a refund. Otherwise, people would just watch videos and request refunds once they are finished.
Similarly, you can request a refund for a Kindle ebook within seven days, as long as you have not started reading it. If you read the book, even partially, refunds are usually not available for on-demand requests. You may still be able to message support and request a refund.
How Amazon Digital Codes Work
Some Amazon digital orders come with a software code that you can use to redeem software or games. To find the code, go to your Digital Software Library, find the code associated with the purchase, and enter the code on the software or game’s site to redeem it. Sometimes, you can redeem software or games by signing in with your third-party account.
Conclusion
In summary, to manage your Amazon Digital Orders, go to your order history and select the Digital Orders tab (on desktop) or filter for Digital Orders (on the mobile app). I hope you now also understand Amazon digital order charges and how they appear on your bank statement. Enjoy your digital content from Amazon!
