Are you looking to make the most of your web browsing experience? Then Safari is the perfect internet browser for you! Safari is the default web browser on Apple devices, and it offers a user-friendly interface that makes it easy for users to navigate.

Safari can be used on both Mac and Windows computers, and its features are designed to make your web browsing experience as efficient and enjoyable as possible. One of the most popular features of Safari is its ability to open in full-screen mode. This mode allows you to maximize your viewing area so that you can easily see more of the content of a webpage without having to scroll down or resize windows.

There are many benefits to using Safari in full-screen mode. It enhances visibility, giving you more screen space with which to read news articles, watch videos, and browse social media. It can also reduce strain on your eyes, especially if you are using a smaller screen in the first place.

In this article, I will be showing you how to maximize your Safari window and how to use Safari in full-screen mode.

Steps to Open Safari in Full Screen on Mac

How to Open Safari in Full Screen 3

Here’s how to maximize your Safari window on a Mac.

To activate full screen on Safari on a Mac, head to the top-left corner of your Safari window and click on the green circle. This will change Safari to full-screen mode. See the screenshot above for an example. If given an option, select “Full Screen” after clicking on the green dot.

Alternatively, you can use the full-screen shortcut. Press Control + Command + F (press all three buttons on your keyboard at the same time). This allows you to easily enter full-screen mode on a Mac.

How to Exit Full-Screen Mode in Safari

Now, let’s discuss how to exit full-screen mode on Safari. If you’re in full-screen mode and want to minimize the window, you can press the green button again.

The green button won’t be immediately visible if Safari is in full-screen mode. You will need to move your cursor to the top-left corner of the screen, and the menu bar with the green button will appear.

Leaving full-screen mode is also possible with the Control + Command + F shortcut. You can use this shortcut to both enter and exit full-screen mode.

If you want to set Safari to open in full screen every time, you can follow these steps.

Go to System Preferences > General. There, scroll down until you see the “Close windows when quitting an app” option. Unselect it – make sure it is not checked. Then, use Safari in full-screen mode. If you quit the app, it will reopen with the same tabs, restoring both the content you were looking at and full-screen mode.

Note that this won’t apply if you close the window by pressing the red button in the top-left corner, only if you quit the app.

True full-screen mode on Safari on iPad isn’t possible. There will always be some menu options visible. However, you can click on the aA button in the toolbar and select “Hide Toolbar” to maximize screen real estate for Safari. You can also click on the Safari menu to collapse it.

If you are currently viewing Safari in split screen mode, click on the three dots at the top of the page and select “Full Screen” to maximize Safari on your iPad and bring it back to full-screen mode.

Troubleshooting Safari Not Opening in Full Screen

If Safari doesn’t open in full screen, try to troubleshoot the full-screen issue by force quitting Safari and reopening it. You can also try restarting your device. Hopefully, this will fix any full-screen problems you have.

Conclusion
